Series: Exploring Washington – Episode: Lavender Farm

The only real thing in life is the unexpected things. Everything else is just an illusion.

Watkin Tudor Jones

This is a continuation of the previous video for my Port Angeles, WA escapade on May 29, 2021, a memorial weekend holiday. I was hoping to see fresh lavender in the field but I came too early. I ended up having good conversation with this nice lady whom I forgot to get her name. I learned a couple of things about lavender and the lavender festival from her. Everything happens for a reason, though I was not able to see a field of fresh lavender, I still learned a lot about lavender from that delightful lady. To travel is not just about the scenery or filming the beauty around you but immersing yourself to the experience, living and enjoying the conversations and encounters at present. Some paths only travel in one direction and may never take you there again so savor it. In my case I am grateful for what i have learned and that I was able to laugh with another human, a stranger at that. It all worked out in the end, the fresh lavender field is something to look forward in July, and maybe just maybe…I’ll see you there!
